Researched and eliminated electrical and mechanical component design faults that increased instrument reliability and reduced service calls. Designed and implemented manufacturing processes and fixtures in an ISO 13485:2001 environment to eliminate instrument assembly errors and decrease assembly time.
Performed research on existing plastic and elastomeric product issues, designed and conducted experiments, and executed solutions.
Developed resolutions to key manufacturing challenges pertaining to ultrasonically welded silicon valve assemblies that enabled a successful and timely launch of IHC instrument. Selected and sourced ultrasonic manufacturing equipment, developed manufacturing procedures, performed IQ/OQ/PQ. Supplemental responsibilities included worldwide on-site instrument repair, IT support, and production employee training.
